The Story

Colour and light have the ability to shift how a space is experienced, particularly in environments where stress and uncertainty are present. This laminated glass system introduces soft gradients of colour into architectural elements, transforming circulation spaces into moments of visual engagement and emotional relief.

Applied within a stair enclosure, the material captures and diffuses both natural and artificial light, creating a dynamic spectrum that changes throughout the day. Rather than acting as a static surface, the glass becomes an active participant in the environment, offering movement, warmth, and visual depth.

In healthcare settings, especially those serving children, these subtle interventions can play a meaningful role in shaping perception. Spaces that feel open, luminous, and expressive can help reduce the clinical atmosphere often associated with hospitals, supporting a more welcoming and human-centred experience.

Designed for integration into high-traffic architectural applications, the system maintains clarity, durability, and safety while enabling a wide range of colour compositions. The result is a material that bridges performance with emotional impact, allowing designers to create environments that are both functional and uplifting.
