Ted Jones: One Year of Leadership and Laughter

As we come up on the one year anniversary of welcoming a new VP of Sales onto the Goldray team, we have been looking back at the year and reminiscing. Ted Jones has contributed tremendously in the past year, not only to the success and cohesiveness of the sales team, but to the general morale of the office. “His enthusiasm and energy are contagious,” said his sales team, “He genuinely cares about everybody that he comes into contact with. Whether it be the staff he is working with, an architect he is helping on a project, or the delivery person at the front door, he is kind, approachable and always joking”. Known around the office for his funky socks and “dad jokes”, Ted makes everybody feel welcome and like they are part of a team. Outside of the office, you can find Ted on a golf course or outdoors with his wife and kids whenever possible. As the coach of his daughter’s softball team, he can combine his passion for sports and love of spending time with his kids.

Before working with Goldray, Ted has had a long career working in Sales Management in the construction industry. His highly collaborative and inclusive leadership style has brought him a high level of success, as well as satisfaction throughout his career. If you ask him what his favorite part of his work day would be, he will tell you it’s the people he is interacting with. “I love working with people; I love solving problems with them, educating and then watching them succeed,” says Ted of his career in Sales. “Being directly responsible for the success of a company, that’s a thrill that drives me every day. Now, being part of a family owned and run company that has been around for so long is a strong foundation for me to build on. The creativity and innovation that Goldray consistently produces, the way that they blaze their own trail in the industry, that is a great environment to work in”.
