What Is Laminated Glass?

Laminated glass is type of multi-ply glass consisting of an assembly of two or more lites bonded with an interlayer that holds together when shattered.

Because of it's additional strength and acoustical control when compared to monolithic lites, laminated glass is used for safety or security glass and surprisingly outperforms many other materials in sound control.  The possibilities to vary the degree of light transmission when solar control is desired are practically limitless.

Laminated Glass is available in an exceptionally wide variety of colors, textures and patterns and can be combined using the laminating process to create special effects not possible with monolithic glass panels.

Contrary to what quite a few people think, laminated glass can be used both on the interior and the exterior of buildings so that applications are extensive.
